A Brand New PSD2HTML

PSD2HTML

Well, it’s been a long 8 years. We have been at the whole PSD to HTML thing since 2005, and wow have we learned a lot.

We started with just a few of us, and we had this awesome idea of how we can help designers and agencies take care of converting designs to HTML. And who would’ve guessed 8 years later we actually invented a new industry, we would have competition, we would be almost 400 people, and have offices all around the world? Well at the time we didn’t, but here we are.

See our new design? Well as all of you guys know, it’s just lots of pixels, right? To us, it’s that and so much more than that. It’s about our last 8 years, our hard work, the things we did right, the things we did wrong, and everything else I am writing about below.

LESSON 1: PEOPLE BUILD RELATIONSHIPS WITH PEOPLE, NOT WITH COMPANIES

People don’t build relationships with companies, they build relationships with people.

Originally we had this idea of “Let’s be just this awesome machine that you give us a PSD and we convert it”. We were this huge team of people behind of all this work and no one ever knew who were where, our names, what we did and how great we were.

And then we had this huge problem that kept popping up: You guys want a partner. You want to use your favorite project manager for every project, you want us to know that you’re a loyal client. You want to know you’re important to us. You want to talk to people.

So…

Over the last few weeks, we have been rolling out new teams of sales managers, account managers and project consultants, some of you probably have had some interaction with them so far. You now have an account manager, you know his name, contact info and it’s the start of us trying to build a relationship with you. We have been working 1-on-1 with a lot of you with each of your projects, so now anytime you want to place an order you can use the order form or pop into Skype, send an email, or pick up the phone and talk to your account manager. It’s a work in progress, but over the next few months – we are rolling this out company wide.

Lesson 2: Dream BIG

This sounds so cliche, but I can’t tell you how important this is from personal experience. Who ever would have thought in 2005 we would have the opportunity to work on 70,000+ projects? So wherever you want to go, think bigger than you are now.

We have been doing the PSD to HTML thing for over 8 years now. So recently we decided we to make public and start actively offering: Custom Platform Development.

Yes we have been building and integrating basic themes for WordPress, Drupal, Magento, Joomla and Shopify for the last couple of years – but now we are working on taking these platforms and providing full scale development. From $1,000 to $100,000 projects – you dream it, we can build it. No more development limits.

Lesson 3: Be you. Show the world who you are, and be proud of it

As of now, our new website shows who we are. The re-design with info about us and the Our Team page with photos of most of our team is just a start. Our blog is changing, our social media is changing, and wait until you guys see what else.

So if you can take anything away from these few paragraphs – don’t be scared of who you are and show the world!

So with that, welcome to the new PSD2HTML and take a look at our Meet The Team Page, and come and meet us all. We want to make sure and always be the best PSD to HTML (and now more) company and again we just want to let everyone know that you mean the world to us. Thanks for all your support over the last 8 years, thanks for believing in us, trusting us, and being by our side. We couldn’t have done all of this without you.

Sincerely,
Michael La Rosa
Head of Business Development

The couple of projects that you guys helped me with turned out great. Looking forward to working with you guys in the near future on a couple of custom development projects. By the way, your new site is awesome. You should turn it into a wordpress theme… I’ll be the first to buy it!

Nice, really nice makeover… And just as nice to have you guys and the kind of work you do. You help designers and architects like us effectively translate our visions into reality. Please keep it up.
